Global Status Report on Road Safety 2015 has been launched
Recently the Global Status Report on Road Safety 2015 has been launched. Some 1.25 million people die as a result of road traffic crashes. Despite progress, road traffic deaths remain too high. PRI welcomes the Report. The Report gives direction to future actions. PRI is advocating for a much greater involvement of (national) NGOs. They are close to people and are represented at different levels of society. Their actions at local level and in communities can make the difference. Governments and the international road safety community must ensure adequate funding of NGOs' actions.
